We are putting on the finishing touches for the new summer floor display. Nancy, our staff designer, did a fantastic job with arranging the sales floor. I’m so excited to see all the new styles, designs and colors.

Let me tell you about a few of my favorites:

From one of our local builders we brought in a Rustic Cherry Dining Set. It is absolutely gorgeous! The top is made from solid cherry with a 1-1/2″ top (referred to as 6-quarter in designer lingo) with bead board ends. It has a nice brown cherry finish with distress marks artfully applied by the builder artisan.

We also brought in another set by the same designer. A dining set with the same top with tongue and groove construction and heavy distressing. It looks antique. The chairs we have displayed with this set are spindle Windsor style. The finish is a Sun Bleached Cherry Dye. It’s an eleven-step process that stretches over 1-1/2 days to complete. This set has some awesome characteristics.

We also added a butterfly leaf pub table with three storage drawers underneath built into the pedestal. This set is displayed in a dark maple color and is very sharp as well.

Other items include new upholstery groups, another all-new style pub table, and a new hutch to match some bestsellers in our dining sets.

We brought in 3 new plasma entertainment centers. More on that later!

Tomorrow is the first day of the big show. I must run and make sure the ribs, steaks, and hot dogs are all here, as well as, the Wallhouse Ice Cream that will be made with an old John Deere putt-putt engine on a freezer. Hope to see you this weekend!
